| We noticed this on the trail back from the
bench of the cape on September 15, 2001. We had gone down a little
bit of old trail just before heading back toward the parking lot and noticed
what seemed to be a sink hole. We really didn't think much of it.
We have no idea how fast things actually progress on this piece of land,
and it was not in a place we normally go. So it had probably been
there a couple of decades or so, right? But this we see every time!
And we have never noticed a hole here before. Now that does not mean
it was not there, and we are not sure of it being a sink hole at all because
we did not take the time to go back down the trail to check it out--but
it does look like one from here. And, although this shot does not
show it well, this is roughly straight up from where our little blow hole
is. So we have another thing to watch.... |
